If there’s one thing all Millennials can agree on, it’s that Capri Sun was the quintessential drink of our childhood. There was nothing better than coming in from playing outside (yes, we used to do that), removing the straw from the wrapping while the plastic still remained stuck to the bag, punching the straw through the bag praying it wouldn’t bend and downing that thing is 5 seconds. Because, LBH, there’s hardly any juice in one of those things. BUT THEY WERE SO GOOD.
Fast forward 20 years. I threw a 30th “throwback to college” birthday party for Casey last Friday and stumbled upon the idea of jungle juice in pouches. I had NO intention on making jungle juice for the party, but loved the idea of making “adult style” Capri Suns – and they were a hit!
Seriously, does that not take you right back to childhood? They were so easy to make and the pouches were a good deal on Amazon (and good quality)! I have plenty left over and plan on using them at the pool and the beach this summer. We added some vodka to make them boozy, but you can obviously just fill them with juice as a fun treat for yourself or for kids!
- 1.5 ounces of vodka
- Juice of your choice (we used a few different types of Simply Lemonade)
- Drink pouches (these came in a pack of 100 and included the straws)
- lemon slices for garnish
- Pour 1.5 ounces of vodka into pouch
- Fill to about 2/3 full with juice of choice
- Add some lemon slices
These are so easy to customize – so have fun experimenting with new flavors and combinations!
