Still trying to find a gift to celebrate the mom(s) in your life? We gotchu.
We love supporting local business and living in Columbus makes it easy to do just that since there are so many talented makers in this city. Buying local means not only supporting local, but it ensures that you are gifting something unique. So, we’ve put together a list of unique mother’s day gift ideas that a mom of any age is sure to love this year.
House Plant from STUMP
Flowers are great and all, but if you want to go a little more non-traditional this year, gift your mom a plant that will (hopefully) last longer than that bouquet of flowers from the grocery store. A couple of our favorite (and easy to keep alive) house plants are snake plants and pothos, but STUMP also offers a wide variety of plants as well as care tips on their website. – amy
These personalized name rings are the cutest for any mama! I love the idea of stacking these with all of your babies’ names. They are simple and handcrafted, and available in both silver and gold. – katherine
This is such a cute idea for a new mom to help capture everyday moments of motherhood during the first 5 years. Not only will this be such a special thing to look back on for mom, but also makes a great gift to pass down. –amy
A gift you literally can’t go wrong giving? Candles. And this is one of my favorite candle of all time. Anytime I see Geo Supply Co. at a local makers market, I stock up. Seriously, I have one in almost every room of my house and have given the 2oz candles as gifts to many of my friends and family. They are made with all-natural soy and smell amazing. She also makes the cutest minimalist jewelry, too! – amy
Mani + Pedi at The Blush Nail Lounge
Who doesn’t love a treat yo’self spa day?? We recently went for pedicures at The Blush Nail Lounge and love the vibe in their space! It’s the perfect little relaxation day for when you need a break from “momming”. – katherine
You know what moms love? Body butter. It’s a proven fact that 100% of moms love body butter (okay, I’m definitely making assumptions here because my mom ALWAYS had body butter growing up, but I’m sure any mom would like this). I’ve tried a few product from Wild Origins and they all are amazing and smell just as wonderful. This body butter is all natural and made using organic oil and shea butter, local beeswax and essential oils of rosemary, peppermint, and lavender. – amy
Breakfast in Bed from Tupelo Donuts
If you’re in Columbus and haven’t tried these donuts yet, you’re missing out! The flavors are so unique, and every one I’ve tried has been delicious! Rather than picking up a box of chocolates, try a box of donuts + coffee for a nice breakfast in bed for mom! – katherine
Facial from Skin & Sugar
Treat your mom to some relaxation – we all know they need & deserve it! If you are local to Columbus, Skin & Sugar is my new favorite spot. I’ve been going bi-monthly for dermaplaning and my skin has never felt better. The space is so welcoming and the women who work there are so friendly. They offer a lot of different facial options as well as sugaring. If you are unsure which facial to get, you can always get a gift card and let your mom choose a service. Honestly, you can’t go wrong. – amy
Deep House Cleaning from More Time for You
This is personally at the top of my list for Mother’s Day gifts, haha. There is a serious lack of time to clean the house when you’re working and have a baby! Take mom out for the day while you have her house cleaned! – katherine
Family Photography Session with Jessica Love Photography
We had a family mini session done with Hadley was two months old, and I’d love to do one again soon! I love being able to look back at those photos, just seeing how little she was and how much she has grown! Jessica Love was our wedding photographer. We just love her style & she is so easy to get along with!! Follow her on instagram @_jessicalovephotography to keep a look out for upcoming mini sessions. – katherine
