How do the weeks fly by so fast? For our One Room Challenge bathroom remodel this week I was able to pick up the subway tile, we finished grouting the floor tile and I started buying some accessories.
Because the floor is busy, I wanted to go with a simple shower curtain and bath mat. I also didn’t want to limit myself to just black and white. The shower curtain, although all white, does have some texture to it with the fringe. I was able to find a black shower rod and hangers to match the rest of the hardware which will add some nice contrast to all the white.
The bath mat was challenging but I found this Project 62 + Nate Berkus mat. It shows up a little gray in the mood board, but it is actually warmer in person. The color is called Creamy Chai. I found a candle in the same color and am hoping to find some pottery that matches to tie it all together. I think this color will definitely help warm up the space.
Now for the piece I am currently most excited about…
How beautiful is this print by fornStudio?! Seriously, I am OBSESSED. Her work is amazing. I will definitely be adding more piece to my house in the future. If you follow Hartman Haus (aka queen of shelfies and color blocking) on Instagram, you know she uses forn pieces all the time in her work. The prints are downloadable so you can buy once and have them printed in any size. This piece is going to hang above the toilet. I love the minimal line work and think it will be perfect in the space.
Next On Our List:
We plan on running to IKEA this weekend to pick up the vanity/sink and then we are going to spend the day installing the subway tile. Hoping to find a small shelf at IKEA, too. Fingers crossed we get a lot done this week!!
Don’t forget to head over to the One Room Challenge blog to see the progress all of the other participants are making on their rooms.
